Diablo immortal and
not understanding your audience.
By Tyler Petrosino.
On November 2nd blizzard held there yearly convention for the most hardcore of fans at the end of the opening ceremony. Understand leading in to this they had said they were going to talk about diablo and there were rumors of a remaster of one of the older Diablo games or even maybe a diablo 4 announcement. They tried to lower fan expectations of the announcement and its helped the rumors and expectation of a Diablo 4 got sent to the sidelines. But no one expected a mobile Diablo title and on the surface it may seem childish to be upset over this like most people on the internet but you have to understand somethings. Blizz con is open to the general public not just journalist in the industry so the people in the room are the hardest of hardcore fans. After the opening ceremony they held a Q&A about the game where the reasonable question of “is there any plans to bring this to pc?” got brought to the presenters where there response was “we have no plans to bring it to pc at the moment” when that response got boo’s from the people in the audience there immediate reaction was “do you guys not have phone’s”. this response shows that blizzard doesn’t know or understand there audience any more. Im going to be honest I don’t know where this part should go but I want it in here so its going here. an absolute mad man of a person during the Q&A asked if “is this a out of season April fool’s joke” I just wanted that in here so yall know what a bad ass looks like.

Since this has blown up it came out that blizzard is looking to make a number of mobile versions of some of their property’s. the point is this isn’t a unwanted game in the community but I believe marks a change in how blizzard makes games listen to its community but also provide engaging experiences where this chapter in the blizzard book will end I have no clue. But I have an idea its ending with them being more hated then EA in about 2 more years.
